Escribes tu nombre y la fecha en que comienzas a usarla (la tarjeta es personal e intransferible)
y la presentas en los museos o establecimientos incluidos que quieras visitar.
Las entradas están pagadas… sólo tienes que disfrutar!

Madrid Card is incredibly easy to use…
Simply write your name and the date on which you first use it (the card is personal and non transferable),
and you show it at the museum or participating establishments you are visiting.
Tickets are already taken care of … the having fun part is left up to you!

Activación / Activation

La tarjeta se activa la primera vez que se utiliza en un establecimiento con entrada incluida, NO cuando se compra. A partir de su activación dispones de un tiempo limitado para usarla, dependiendo del modelo de tarjeta.
The card is activated the first time it is used at a participating establishment, NOT when it is purchased. Once activated, the card can be used for the period of time stipulated on each particular type of card.

Validez / Validity

La tarjeta es únicamente válida para días consecutivos. Cuando termine su validez no podrás seguir utilizándola más. Si, por ejemplo, activas una tarjeta de 24 horas el lunes a las 13:45 horas, será válida hasta el siguiente martes a las 13:45 horas.
The card is valid solely for consecutive periods of time. When the expiry date is reached, the card can no longer be used. If, for example, you begin to use your 24hour card on Monday at 1:45 p.m., it will be valid until the following day, Tuesday, at 1:45 p.m.

Museos y Atracciones con entrada incluida / Museum and attractions with free entry

La tarjeta te da derecho a visitar la colección permanente de museos, monumentos y atracciones una única vez; asegúrate de que el día en que quieres visitarlos no están cerrados por algún motivo. Durante la temporada de verano (21 de junio a 21 de septiembre) es recomendable consultar los horarios. Las exposiciones temporales no siempre están incluidas en la entrada. Toda esta información podrás consultarla en la guía que obtendrás con tu tarjeta.
Cardholders can visit the permanent collection at museums, monuments and other attractions a single time; please ensure that the day on which you wish to visit that they are not closed for some reason. Cardholders are advised to check opening times during the summer season (June 21 to September 21). Temporary exhibits are not always included as part of the free entry. All pertinent information can be found on the guide that is included when you purchase your card.

Descuentos / Museum and attractions with free entry

Podrás beneficiarte de los descuentos en los establecimientos participantes durante toda tu estancia en la ciudad, independientemente de la validez de tu tarjeta; para obtenerlos deberás presentarla antes de pagar. Los descuentos se aplican con independencia de la forma de pago (al contado o con tarjeta de crédito) pero no son acumulables a otras ofertas. En caso de rebajas o descuentos especiales en vigor, la tienda no está obligada a hacer un descuento añadido. Es recomendable reservar mesa en los restaurantes, en especial los fines de semana y vísperas de festivos. Al momento de pedir la cuenta, deberás solicitar el descuento y presentar tu tarjeta.
Tax Free: si no perteneces a la UE puedes reclamar el IVA del precio de las compras.
Take advantage of great discounts at participating establishments throughout your stay in the city, regardless of the duration of your card; for discounts, show the card before paying. Discounts are applicable regardless of the method of payment (cash or credit card), but cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. During the sales or when special discounts apply, the shop is under no obligation to apply any additional discounts. Cardholders are advised book a table at restaurants, especially at weekends and on the eve of public holidays. When ordering your bill, show your card and ask for the corresponding discount.
